Perfect Events works with Scope to manage their annual event calendar, consisting of between 6 – 10 events including a
major campaign.

Working with not-for-profit organisations for over 12 years has highlighted that one of the sectors greatest challenges is
sustainable funding. 

Back in 2008, Scope approached Perfect Events to help find a solution to this key challenge.   As Scope grew, so did the
demand on Scope’s services and programs. In order to continue delivering the same high level of quality, and invest in
research and marketing for better practise, there was an obvious need to increase revenue. This was especially the case
with the Department of Human Services new funding model.  Perfect Events worked with Scope to achieve this goal and four
years later the partnership is as strong as ever.   

Up until 2008, Scope managed the majority of its events and marketing campaigns internally.  Time spent in doing so took
away from other key opportunities such as applying for grants, working on building relationships to increase corporate
sponsorship, and even increasing the level of services provided.  

In addition to this, the execution of events and campaigns was restricted around the number of event staff and their relative
experience.  By engaging Perfect Events to manage their event portfolio, Scope was provided with a team of highly qualified
and experienced event managers, a list of new suppliers, a wider network which included celebrities, and instant access to
Liliana Sanelli who is the key architect behind the ongoing success of Scope’s fundraising activities. 

Some Key Initiatives and Results
-  Successfully manages 6 – 10 events/campaigns per year, all returning a profit and growing year on year.
-  Initiated the inaugural the “See the person” campaign in 2010.  It is now an annual event that continues to evolve and in
   2011 it has become “See me” September month.
-  Provide cost savings in the order of $100,000 annually through leveraging Perfect Events suppliers and networks
-  Increase Scopes awareness in the community through promotion of each event through Perfect Events database and
   e-newsletter, as well as introducing Scope to key celebrities to help raise the profile of the organisation.
