The name Grossi is synonymous in Melbourne for an exquisite Italian dining experience. Grossi restaurants include Mirka,
Grossi Trattoria in Bangkok, and the legendary Grossi Florentino on Bourke St.  The family tradition brought to Melbourne
when Pietro Grossi migrated in 1960, has continued through son Guy, whose star value as one of Australia's premier chefs
continues to rise.

With increasing notoriety in 2010 from numerous television appearances including a starring role in Australian Iron Chef,
the launch of Guy Grossi's new restaurant, Merchant, was destined to be a major event.

Perfect Events was challenged to:
-   Manage logistics for the event which included multiple entertainers, significant celebrity and media attendance, and a he
red carpet area – all during the busy office rush in one of Melbourne's busiest office buildings.
-   Create a Venetian inspired feel to the event, which complimented the menu and restaurant space.
-   Coordinate invitation distribution and RSVP management to a large guest list of celebrities, government officials and social
    identities.

Perfect Events successful management of Merchant's launch at Melbourne's Rialto was attended by over 400 celebrities and
special guests.

Some Initiatives and Results:
-   Engaged burlesque performers who were themed as Venetian courtesans – tasteful and exotic, the girls captured the
imagination of the audience and increased media response to the event.
-   Hosts with poise and style – using one of Perfect Events preferred suppliers, a team of hosts greeted guests in sponsored
attire by Grossi partner Leona Edmiston.
-   Seamless management of invitation distribution and RSVP management, including hand personalised calligraphy –
prepared the large audience for a uniquely exclusive occasion.
